We’re planning on honeymooning in Hawai’i for 11 glorious days (all that work will let me (Justine) off since I will also have a week off before the wedding to fly to Seattle).
Days 1-5 will be spent on Kaua’i, known for its exquisite beauty. We’ll be staying in a private house on the beach to relax and um…have Mai Tais, of course!
Days 6-8 will be spent on O’ahu to do the touristy stuff and see my old elementary school and neighborhood. Yes folks, I spent a large chunk of my childhood living in Hawaii. Jealous? I can’t believe my life got to a point where Melanie and I whined to Mom, “Noooo we don’t wanna go to the beach!”
Days 9-11 will be spent on the Big Island, a.k.a. Hawai’i. David has a keen interest to do some star gazing and we’re both excited to see the Volcanoes National Park. I have memories from when I’ve previously visited of course, but I’m sure it will be a different experience coming as an adult.
So excited! I haven’t been back since we left in 1998 and was super jealous of my parents and little sister staying there over Christmas this past year.
